Default laptop tft with a pc digital gfx card?

Hi guys..
my old acer travelmate 513t laptop seems to have broken. It simply wont turn
on... i was just wondering if you think its possible to control the tft
from a pc using a digital gfx card and probably building an adapter?

I'll really be grateful for any help... thanks guys/girls

Joel
