wrote: Hi, my sister have a computer with a Ph Labs AN2X motherboard. The chipset is a VIA. he doesn't have the motherboard driver disk. Her hard disk run at 4000 mbps (and should be at 33000) If i install a VIA driver (i can find some on internet) it upgrade at 20000. This is good enough for her use. But the system crash frequently. I think the driver is not good. I search internet a lot to find any Ph Labs information. It seems like this company never existed. Someone have the VIA 4in1 driver? Someone can redirect me to the "official" Ph Labs web page? Thanks a lot. Here is the Via 4in1 driver: http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=300 The system could be crashing for many reasons, not only the 4in1 driver. If you can isolate the crashing to specific circumstances then it might help in the diagnosis. I know not who or where "Ph Labs" is, but if you gave us a very thorough description of the system and perhaps a good picture of the motherboard (posted elsewhere, NOT to the newsgroup) then at least we would have more to go on. If you haven't already you might try resetting (clearing) the CMOS, which is usually done by unplugging the system then moving a jumper situated next to the battery, or pulling the battery for 10 minutes. If you'd rather experiment with the BIOS settings before resetting them then that might work too, but I have no suggestions there since the motherboard and technology is yet unknown. Dave |
