Altec Lansing 251 Speaker System

Hi all,

I recently purchased the Altec Lansing 251 Speaker System and have come
across a problem. The front right speaker (*with the controls on it) emits
no sound whatsoever. I have gone through my internal PC settings (START
SETTINGS CONTROL PANEL SOUNDS) to make sure all settings are in the
centre, which they were. I have also checked to see that all the cords are
correctly plugged into the back of the sub-woofer speaker. Has this happened
to anyone else? Can anyone recommend anything to fix this problem?

I would first plug another set of speakers or a set of headphones,
etc, into the back of the PC to see if both channels are being output
there. If both channels are heard, it would seem you have defective
speaker set... it doesn't really matter where the fault is, just
return them to place of purchase.
