Dell Inspiron and dual booting with linux and Windows 7 pro

I have the N5050 where it's not the case...but Ben has mentioned some that are that way. You do have to remove the keyb'd and about 12 bottom screws though!

Larry, that would be a crap shoot about HDD access...you'd think they would learn their lesson...but?

But it does not look like they have.

All the laptops I saw at best buy are tending toward being thin perhaps making the hard drive difficult to access. Dell's expensive precision line appears to be the only laptop that affords easy access to at least two hard drives.

Not so long ago it was easy to access and swap out the hard drive from the side on older inspiron, xps, and latitude as they were much better constructed. I miss that flexibility.
