Default Intel Rapid Storage Technology

This app has been installed on my last two dell boxes.
It seems to not be relevant to home use. Is there any
reason to keep it? If so, what would that purpose be?

Thanks in advance,

Without having researched it too much, it sounds like a modern take on
Intel's Application Accelerator idea.

I'd leave it alone. Removing it might kill your disk storage drivers and
leave you with an unbootable system.
