Default Laptop Memory: PC100 vs. PC133

I can replace a failed PC100 laptop SO-DIMM with a PC133 module, right?
It's the same CAS latency.

The typical reason for a higher speed DIMM to not work is not the higher speed, but higher density chips found on newer DIMMs. E.g. a DIMM with 4 higher density chips might not work where 8 lower density chips will work.
