pc stress test crushing
Hi,
set up win 2000 pro on aopen bx 440 p3 500 with 128 ram. when playing winamp with full screen visualisation on pc crushes after few seconds. However it plays fine without visualisation. Also, pc hangs when copping large files (700 mb) from cd-rom to hdd. I've tried different memory, removed cd-rom, modem and pc still hangs. What could be the cause of it crushing? Thanks |

If they are ALL sucking out, the case will eventually crush itself due to lack of air pressure!!! : ) |

Have you removed the fan off your CPU heatsink and cleaned the fins with a paintbrush or something similar? It sounds like your system may be crashing due to heat problems. -- ~misfit~ --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). What else could be wrong but the mambo?! I was going to ignore this, but the selection of verbiage is getting too funny. We need a python to do the crushing, while dancing the mambo, and copping the files sounds like a petty felony to me. I have no idea what is meant by visualization. Does anybody bother to read what they have typed before sending? If the problem is a language barrier, my apologies for poking fun, and I hope the result is somewhat instructive. -- Chuck F ) ) Available for consulting/temporary embedded and systems. http://cbfalconer.home.att.net USE worldnet address! |

Bad cards, memory.. even the case itself if you have the board mounted wrong. Disassemble it and start it on your desk if necessary. |

The visualization refers to winamps visual plug in display, which
shows various images movements corresponding to sounds. I have no idea what is meant by visualization. Does anybody bother to read what they have typed before sending? If the problem is a language barrier, my apologies for poking fun, and I hope the result is somewhat instructive. |
