that's one reason that the native interface
is provided in recent versions of Windows and most relevant software has
switched to it and one reason that Roxio has not used the ASPI layer
since ECDC 4.

(Do Easy CD Cremator 4+ use the native interface on Win 2k/xp, Mikey?)

True that cRoxio does not use the "external" aspi. But that does not
mean that cRoxio does not use any aspi, does it? Wouldn't surprise me
if you were born with "Con Artist" emblazoned on your face.

The ASPI layer was incorporated into ECDC 4.02 and above

Adaptec decided to cease using ASPI in it's products and
to build their own internal version into ECDC 4.02 and above

ASPI on WinME, Mikey?

Mikey (Slimy Scum):

"ASPI layer should not be installed in WinMe"

While Nero has its own component for the ASPI layer, an inconsistent or
corrupted set can do damage because bad components may have been loaded
before Nero got a chance to do 'its thing'.

Do you use Nero, Mikey? Whatever happened to this weasel drivel of
yours?
[...not use...not know...not write...]

(If an executable is already
loaded, Windows will not load it again even if it 'should'.) Repair is
tedious and can be painful;

You are full of it, Mikey.

It's not at all tedious or painful with ForceASPI.

Do Easy CD Cremator 4+ use the native interface on Win 2k/xp?

Let see now. Ezcd 4+ do not use aspi. Ezcd 4+ do not use the native
interface on Win 2k/xp. Just what do Ezcd 4+ use on Win 2k/xp?

Win 9x/me do not have the native interface. Ezcd 4+ do not use aspi.
What do Ezcd 4+ use on Win 9x/me?

If you find an assortment of ASPI components floating in your system,
you will probably need to rename them all except in the Nero folder,
verify that Nero then works correctly and see what is now broken.
Recovery of those components depends on what they are and how they use ASPI.

My, ain't you one very knowledgable smart cookie! Nevertheless, you are
full of it, Mikey!
