Media Library and MMC 8.8 question

After upgrading to cat 3.10 and MMC 8.8 (doing the complete uninstall
process, registry, inf's etc), when I tell Media library to scan for
content it scans and then crashes (send to microsoft dialog), I reopen
ML and it shows the scanned content from the prior, but is a pain to
have to go through the crash everytime. I tried the "old" atioops.dll
and it did not help. Any workarounds???

BTW it seems to have the the aforementioned problem scanning movie
files on my second hard drive, but when I tell it to scan just my "C"
drive it still scans my second hard drive and crashes

I did a reinstall of 3.10 and MMC 8.8 still the same.
