Ultrium 2 FH: I/O errors when running backup with Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 with all patches installed.
Ultrium 2 FH: I/O errors when running backup with Veritas Backup Exec
9.1 with all patches installed. Help!!! I have been trying to get this unit to work for days! I have a 6000R with a dedicated 4LX raid controller attaching the U2 drive housed in an external cabinet. The drive is seen by the system and I have tried to use both the IBM driver (For Tivoli) and the Veritas driver. The Veritas gets me to the point of being able to inventory the drive and erase it but I get about 350mb into a backup of about 200gb and it fails with an I/O error. Can someone please tell me what is wrong? The drive is brand new and is up to date with firmware also. I really need to get this system backed up and at this point can only think that the issue is related to the controller only being U160 as on the website the drive is listed as being only U320? If anyone can help I would welcome it immediatly!!! |
