i have LG monitor.my monitor changes to dim and light
frequently.changes its color,contrast and brightness for few seconds and get back to its original settings.icons on desktop reflects red color horizontally |

As JAD suggested, check interconnect cables first. If there are no problems in that area, the symptom you describe is indicative of a 'high voltage' supply problem to the CRT or intermittent trouble with one or more of the color guns (RGB) in the CRT itself. In any case it will require the services of a technician. Both problems are quite common in lower end color CRT type monitors. Personally, If the trouble is not outside the case, I would toss the thing and buy a new monitor.
