Multi-proc question
I have 2 P3 processors and a multi proc motherboard. Do the stepping
for the processors have to be the same for these to be recognized as multi processors? Is that the only thing that has to match besides the speed and chip type? Thanks, Steve |

Thanks, Steve The Pentium III Processor Specification Update from Intel provides good information about which processors can be put together for multiple processor as well as issues concerning mixed steppings. Download the update. Finally, for multiple processing to be successful, the OS must also support it. |
