Default HP PSC 1510 - Can't Stop The Test Page From Printing

Everytime I power on the printer, it shoots out a test page, wasting
valuable ink (and paper).

I looked through all the printer properties and preferences and
couldn't find anything on this, I also searched around HP's support
pages and couldn't find anything.

Surely there's a way to disable this feature?

I'm running XP..

Thanks,

STRATEGY

The way to disable the feature is to let it complete. The page printing is
the alignment page which prints when a new cartridge is installed. Once the
page prints you need to load it in the scanner and press the scan button.
This will complete the alignment and the page will not print again until a
cartridge is replaced. See

you can skip to step #3 in the description.

Thanks, I looks like I had never properly completed the alignment and
that was the printer's way of prompting me.

However I've now completed the process (three times) and it STILL spits
out a test page every time I power up.

Any other ideas?

The alignment is failing for some reason. The following may help:
