Looking for pigment ink for my inkjet printer in Canada.
Hi All- I use a combination of CIS and refillable spongeless
cartridges for all of my printers, but am running out of pigment ink. I buy from inksupply.com in the USA, but with shipping and duty, the ink is not a good price. I dont sell much of my work, so I cannot afford a ton. I am also looking for a Canadian company that sells B&W pigment or dye based ink. Any help would be appreciated... Rudi |

I should add that the black in I order for my HP Photosmart 7700 was
labeled as pigment but the coloured inks were not labeled either way. They responded really fast. I am waiting to hear back about even more items now- Thanks again. |

I would be interested in hearing what they say about the ink. I never
thought to ask those questions. Check out www.inksupply.com It is one of the most extensive collections of ink I have found so far, including instructions on how to refill your own cartridges, refillable spongeless cartridge and CIS sales. They even sell B&W ink, which will turn my basic dye based 6 colour printer into a photo finisher quality archival (pigment) B&W printer using black, light black, gray and light gray inks. They even support printer profiles and will electronically make my colour printer recognize and print with the B&W inks! Did you read my blurb on the Continuous Ink System (that will change your life) yet?? OMG! its so exciting! I print for practically free now! |

You get lower quality results than OEM Your prints will fade more quickly You run a higher risk of a clogged print head You support vendors who will not tell you what you are buying If you have a high print load than it may be economically justifiable to use the lower grade ink but do not say you print practically free now because you do not. |

You have no idea what you're talking about. Get lost, and don't ever come back. Frank No need to get mad at measekite for voicing his opinion. (I am glad he did) He does have a point to an extent- There is a difference in quality of aftermarket inks. I have bought ink from Costco, and it is not as good as the ink I am currently using (which is made in Japan vs China) Even if the quality was lower to some degree, (which it is not- I would love to mail measekite print #3751 from the same printer -which did not clog- and have him see for himself), and if it did fade quicker, .17¢ for ink vs $2.17 for the same print ($98 for a set of cartridges that yield 45~ 8.5X11 prints vs $80 for 10 cartridges worth of ink in a CIS) makes it worth re-printing again and again if necessary! Yes, Maybe I lucked out, but from two different suppliers from Canada and the US? I am a lucky guy, I guess (or maybe not- Maybe many companies do sell quality!) |
