7200 server reformat- How?
I have a Gateway 7200 server with 2 PIII 450's, 2 IBM hot swap drives and a
Cheetah 34g hard drive on a SCSI system running NT 4.0. We don't need this as a server any longer and I would like to upgrade to XP Pro so we could use the computer for general use. What's is the best way to do this? Can I pull out the IBM drives and reformat the Cheetah and install XP Pro? My experience is with building 3-4 computers with the typical components- IDE, Intel, etc. but I have no experience with a multi-processor MB or a SCSI or RAID environment. I would like to keep this as simple as possible and don't mind mucking around. Thanks Rich |

All you need is the XP Pro CD and a floppy with the drivers for the SCSI
controller on it. Boot the CD, press F6 when indicated, and insert the floppy with the driver. Then continue the installation. "Richard Saudargas" wrote in message ...
