Default Inspiron 1525 laptop, lost Windows Vista DVD, Necessary for Windows 7 Reinstall?

Hello everyone,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop that I'm looking to sell. It came
loaded with Windows Vista when I 1st bought it but I soon upgraded to
Windows 7 Preferred. I still have the Windows 7 Preferred upgrade DVD
but cannot seem to find the Windows Vista reinstall DVD that came with
the machine. My question is, if the buyer wanted to reinstall Windows
7 for whatever reason, they would only need the Windows 7 upgrade disk
and not the Windows Vista reinstall DVD, is that correct? They only
need the Windows Vista DVD if they wanted to revert back to Windows
Vista? Dell has these available for $10 but I'll leave that up to the
buyer. Thanks!

If you have the product key for your Windows 7 Preferred upgrade, you should be able to install it and enter the product key. Why not reinstall it before selling it, so the buyer has a clean system?

I don't remember who told us (Chris Muto I believe) that Dell will give you one free disc for each of you PC's. I've taken advantage for all of mine.
