SBLive Dos mode SB compatibility in XP?

I'm trying to play an OLD game (eye of the beholder), which is a dos game. I have the most recent drivers loaded in Windows XP, and cannot get this thing working in DOS mode. I am just running the game in a windows, but still, no luck.

All the online docs refer to dos-based SB compatibility drivers, but I don't see those drivers anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make a shortcut to the game unless you already have one.Right click on
it/Properties/Compatibility and try any and all options.One of them
should help e.g run in win95 CPM or 256 colours etc.
If not you can look for patches,
