1st boot device
I upgrade from W98 to W XP. I want to change the
boot device from hard disk to floppy disk. In W98 during the boot I press the function key F8 to enter in set up. In W XP is not possible. Anyone can help me ? I have a Presario 7461. Thank you . Frank.

Try hitting F10 at the Compaq splash screen at bootup to enter the BIOS and

BTW this is the standard for most Compaq machines. Other systems vary with
delete, F1, and ESC being the most common in non-Compaq machines. KC "HH" wrote in message . net...
