Default CD R RW Burner Software for IO Magic 52x24x52 Drive

I need a software package that allows me to do the following:
1. Burn MP3 and JPGs to a CD that can then be accessed via explorer.
2. I want to be able to play and view the data on the CD without
extracting from the CD.

Any suggestions. I have tried Easy DVD/CD Burner but this requires
that the files be extracted prior to playing the MP3.

I apologize for being such a basic question. I had an external HP
bundled with software that allowed this but the drive went south.

Thanks,
DB

The program used to write the CD-ROM has nothing to do with the ability
to play back such files. Assuming that you have a suitable player
installed, double-clicking the file on the disc should cause it to
appear in the player - and play.

On the same assumption, what player are you using and what happens when
you try to play directly from the disc? If in doubt, try WinAmp, which
is free and which will play such files easily.
