Unlocking AthlonXP 1700+

Hello,
I have an AthlonXP 1700+. I am not sure if it's A or B core and I don't
know how to find that information out. I was wondering if anyone here
could help me with this and with the completion of modifying my CPU to
unlock the multiplier. When I had a Duron800 then all I had to do was use
a led pencil and connect the two leads together on top of the CPU. From
what I have been reading online it looks like I need to connect two pins.
Does this sound correct. Please guide me in the right way.

Give us the numbers on the chip and we can tell you. Or use something like
wcpuid, I think models 680 and 681 are A and B.

The CPU is already unlocked.
