Default PC3200 (DDR400) on (DDR333) mobo???

Can I put PC3200 (DDR400) memory on a board that supports only PC2700
(DDR333) memory??
The maximum FSB supported is 333mhz.
ASUS a7v8x-mx is the board.

Yes, but it will ony run at the fastest speed the board supports.

You can use pc4000 RAM on a board that support up to 2100 if you want,
of course it will only perform as if it was 2100.

Yes, you may be able to tighten the timings from, say, 2.5,3,3,8 to
2.0,3,3,7 or even better with extra voltage to the RAM. Experiment!
