Does anyone know the difference between the 005686-xx modems?
I see v.92 upgrades for 00568602 and 00568603 (USR5686B &
USR5686C)


I have a 00568600... which according to USR is the 5686 model for
US/Canada, no revision. To me, I would assume that it should be
upgradable... ( and I don't see why there should be different
files ofr the other revisions)




Try the 00568600up.exe at this link. ftp://ftp.usr.com/updates/archive
It will flash, or re-flash the modem to the latest firmware. I can't
say if it includes V.92. Have you tried the latest USR Control Center?
ftp://ftp.usr.com/usr/v92 ControlCenterUsa.exe That should include
