You have me at a disadvantage here, as you can
see the items in question.

I'm surprised the VGA cable to each CPU isn't male
on both ends. They should really use cable choices
the user is likely to already have.

Yeh me 2. I chcked the KVM, and all 4 VGA ports have pins sticking
up, hence requiring a cable female plug. Right?

Are you sure it's a VGA ? It has 15 pins, with a
keying pin missing ? I had a VGA cable once, that
still had pin 9 on both ends. And other cables
have pin 9 missing so +5V cannot power EDID inside
the monitor.

The 1-2-3-6-7-8 cluster are intended for
"three minicoax routing" inside the cable. It
makes it easier to affix coax because of those
pin choices. The HSYNC/VSYNC use coax on some
VGA cabling, but on other they're just routed
as if they were low frequency signals (poorer
impedance characteristic allowed). SGND could
be part of the VSYNC/HSYNC/CSYNC cluster. SDA
and SCL allow the video card to read-out the
EDID eeprom in the monitor.

If the connector has more pins than that, then
you need something different.
