Sounds like a dead battery.

You will get that message anytime POST detects a corrupted
datum in the NVRAM part of the BIOS.

GIven this only happens after the machine has been powered off
for awhile would lead me to check the battery.

Hi Fooks,
P4C800 DeLuxe bootproblem: BIOS reports Overclocking Failed while not
overclocking. Press F1 etc. Returning to Defaults usually dont help.
Only happens after switched OFF for at least 1 hour.

BIOS 1006, 1007.007
P4 2.4/533,
512 Mb SamSung DDR 400,
2 SATA WD 120 Gb, RAID 1
1 NEC DVD RW,
1 CDRW,
MSI MX440 AGP,
Pinnacle PCTV PRO card
QF50 case

Even stranger: while in "repair" with PC-shop problem is "gone" boots
anytime

Any Ideas? Maybe "Earth" connection on Poweroutlet? Power supply
undersized ? (300W). Memory ?????

Yours, W
