When you're running DX9 games with a DX8 card, you're missing some of

Bull****, you miss none of the visual effects, if the card supports
DX8 fallback.. See my other post.

?

Bull**** and if in the same sentence....come on you can do better!

It's a fact that a game with DX9 shaders will not show them on an DX8
card unless the game also has DX8 shaders.

Look at Max Payne II, look at the mirrors, if you have a DX9 card you
can see in the mirror your image... if you have a DX8 card there is no
mirror, only grey ...

I won't say you wrong (cause you don't ;-) but actually there is no need for
DX9 for this.
There where nice mirrors in SWAT 3, which is an old game, and I'm not sure
if it's DX7 or earlier.
