Default New bios updates

Yesterday I received a link to an experimental BIOS update (v. FKx) that
completely cures the problem I was having. Took a few e-mails back & forth,
and a little patience, but GigaByte came through for me. The new BIOS even
includes a new feature allowing me to choose the boot order of the three
on-board disk controllers. I created a small test partition on one of my
drives so I could quickly test the BING image / validation process. Then I
imaged a 40 GB primary partition. In both cases, the process completed
normally without any issues with the completion window. My GA-8KNXP
motherboard has been out of production for about a year now, so I can't help
but be impressed by the level of tech support I received from the GigaByte
Corporation.

Be advised that this FK firmware causes problems with the popular disk
utility BootIt NG from Terabyte Unlimited. I've found that when creating a
disk image with BING, the validation progress window goes blank just as
the operation completes and the program freezes up. Flashing back to FJ
resolves the problem. I will report this to Gigabyte and hope they can
come up with a solution. Terabyte reports that Gigabyte has a history of
being co-operative in finding solutions to these types of problems.

Thanks Richard. I have a GA-8KNXP v2 board & had about given up hope of
them ever releasing a final version of the FK firmware.

We should see some updates for nForce 4 motherboards soon.
