Why do you need a PCMCIA slot? It's an obsolete technology that
is being replaced by ExpressCard slot. Unfortunately, most
netbooks today don't have either slots. The only netbook that
has an ExpressCard slot is the Lenovo S10.

Why do you need any later technology to run RS232 links, Modems,
printers, etc.?
