Hi all,

You've probably heard this before, but I was wondering if anyone

can
share
any similar experiences with me..

The situation is, I was sent a parcel via City Link (not my choice

of
courier, but there you go..) Tuesday 30th October, by Next Day

Delivery,
so
it should have arrived Wednesday 31st October.

Today (Tuesday 4th November) I contact them to see where it is,

and
they
say
it's been signed for on the 31st. That definately didn't happen.

(also
it's
a big package so I'd know about it!)

They say contact the sender of the item, which I just have done,

and
am
waiting for a reply.

There is really no way the sender scammed me, as he gave me the

tracking
number for the package, and is a very known and respected trader

(2000+
ratings on ebay, has his own business).

Will City Link argue to the death that it's been signed for by

someone
from
my house? Or, do you think this will be easily sorted out?

Thank goodness I didn't order this item later on, it's for a

birthday
present on 20th December...

Track it here and get a POD - this is what the depot sees - if there

is
not
yet a scan of the signature there should at least be the surname of

the
person who signed for it.

Hi Niel,

Sorry, I forgot to mention I have tracked it, and apparently there is

a
signature (no scan, just text) , with my surname on. Also a time

which
it
was delivered.

as I said, I didn't sign for it, and it definately hasn't been

delivered
here.

I haven't had any cards through the letterbox or anything.

Thanks
Rachel

That doesn't look good - is it 'your' depot you spoke to or the sending

one.
I had an instance recently where a depot was using agency drivers and he

was
signing for boxes and nicking them. One of a 4 box consignment of mine

went
missing and the depot only put 2 & 2 together because he's been signing

for
whole consignments in addition to hoiking part lots.

It was my depot (which is about 25 miles away, gah!)

Hopefully the seller can request a signature or something like that for
proof.

I would phone up citylink and ask to speak to someone in charge at both
yours and the other depot.
It sounds as though the driver has stole it. If you speak to the manager
you should find he/she
will be quite helpful.
They are going to want to know if a driver is stealing.
