An HP630 with new cartridges is likely to be a lot better than anything cheap that HP makes now. In addition most cheap teaser printers come with starter cartridges which aren't going to print as many pages as ones you buy.


If you do not want to worry about starter carts then go for an Epson or a Canon.  The best buy that prints the best photos is the Canon IP4300 and you can get that for about $60.00 when on sale after a rebate.

Now if you do not care about photos and you are after better text quality then I would look at the various models of HP office printers.
