Default CDR/DVDR speed reduced. Why?

Mike Richter, were you born with
"Scam Artist" emblazoned on your face?

Download NeroDiscSpeed_41140.zip, NeroInfoTool_403.zip and wnaspi32.dll
into the same folder:

InfoTool_403 has ASPI tab. Post back what the tab lists.

"ASPI is installed and working properly" (I followed the link you gave me
about the ASPI layer).

What are the version numbers?

Run the NeroCDSpeed and see if you still get "could not initialise the
wnaspi32.dll".

One interesting thing that may or may not be of importance though,
is the difference between in drive tab info for each drive.

DRIVE F: Read 48x, Write 48x, C2 errors ticked
DRIVE G: Read "n/a", Write 48x, C2 errors UN-ticked

Insert non-blank CD (and DVD) discs in G: and see if C2 changes.

Also do [CDSpeed, ScanDisc] in G:. Does it scan, that is, show
green/yellow/red blocks?

Do the read and write speeds change when you put in different speed
rated blank dvd?
