I have a Tally 6215 printer that is connected to Jet Direct so I may
print from Unix/Solaris. The printing works but the printer/jet direct
do not communicate about if the printer is out of paper.

There must be some sort of configuration for parallel mode to tell jet
direct to stop printing because the paper is out. Has anyone any
suggestions or ideas?

Also, does anyone have the Tally printers working directly with
Solaris? Out of the box these things do not talk to Unix and we have
been unable to find Solaris drivers. But that's a minor issue as I'm
more concerned about changing the setup to tell Jet Direct it is out of
paper, etc.
