Small home user. How do you manage to get your large/heavy boxes
posted? Do you get them collected via royal mail or a courier? If so
how? Is royal mail and parcelforce the same? How do you get a courier
contract or whatever and when is this cost effective? Do they charge
to collect or a monthly fee?Can I send parcelforce items via a post
office? Or is Parcel Post Parcel Force? The pricing chart on the
royal mail website seems to refer to 'small packets' rather than boxes
but the weight goes up pretty high.

A lot of the post office scales/counters dont seem suitable for
dealing with boxes. It doesnt seem really practical to start carrying
in numerous boxes into the post office , or numerous padded enevlopes.

for small numbers, try www.parcels2go.co.uk - no affiliation, just used them
the once but they did what they said they'd do: picked up a PC, shipped it
to the other end of the country and charged me a tenner or so.
they subcontract out to delivery firms, so it might be UPS, CityLink,
etc....
