I have done some looking for cables for my ATEN KVM.Â* I think I will
need:
1) to connect inputs to KVM:
Â*Â*Â*Â* monitor - VGA cable, KVM monitor end male to KVM end male
Â*Â*Â*Â* mouseÂ* - PS/2 mouse to KVM end male PS/2
Â*Â*Â*Â* keyboard - PS/2 keyboard to KVM male PS/2
2) to connect KVM to each CPU:
Â*Â*Â*Â* monitor - CPU end, VGA male to KVM end female VGA
Â*Â*Â*Â* mouse - KVM CPU PS/2 maleÂ* to PS2 mouse
Â*Â*Â*Â* keyboard - KVM CPU PS/2 male to PS2 keyboard

agree???

Thanks
Al

You have me at a disadvantage here, as you can
see the items in question.

I'm surprised the VGA cable to each CPU isn't male
on both ends. They should really use cable choices
the user is likely to already have.

Since most (all?) KVM switches use some sort of 'hydra' cable there is no
serious advantage from their viewpoint in using standard connector
arrangements. Nothing to stop them from using some *******ized single
connector for each computer at the switch end if they wish to. They could
always explain that it is a step toward simplification and space saving.
