Default SSD DRAM Less Controller

Although I wouldn't go so far to compare low-balling SSD offerings for
resemblances to the bubonic plague...

"At Computex last June, one SSD vendor told us about an OEM 2D TLC SSD
that will burn through the rated endurance in a little over a year."

Robust performance ratings that are crippled once overridden by a
significant workload.

New and Improved hidden tactics in marketing the bill of sale (BOM -
bill of merchandise). Sandisk, another name behind WD, outright a
continuing policy advocate -- without much else than a - 'Yes, this
is, as far as you're concerned, a SSD.' Or, IOW ... a HD is a HD is a
HD.

PNY, most creatively, shipped one model out for the press review
process and another model, to indicate them as identical, for purposes
of distributing merchandise.

Not at all. With all these closely guarded algorithms and trade
secrets, materials and approaches, be assured, it's fundamentally all
about SSDs foremost. And that means industry is definitely here to
help. For a year old article, maybe they have by now. Helped
themselves.

Everyone knows a SSD is good for one thing only: To bring back almost
dead laptops, at least for a little, before getting the new one with
Windows 10.
