Default Latitude 1525, speakers

Sorry - its the Latitude not Inspiron (that's the desktop)

I do like the 1525, but the speakers are really really bad.

I put it next to the 1640, which has lovely loud, basey, speakers that
are great to listen to, it was suprising to see the difference. The
1640 has speakers that can be used as a stereo - almost.

Also I find the touch-sensitive buttons for music very difficult to
use.

I do like the 1525, a very nice machine, but am going to have to take
it back, as I like to listen to music on my laptop.

I don't understand why Dell would put such appauling speakers in an
expensive machine. My old laptop, which is 7 years old, has great
speakers, how much more would it cost to put in a pair of decent
spearks?

These sound like a cheap transistor radio from the 1970's.
