Default Using a HP Surestore DLT VS80 Autoloader on a Proliant 6400?

yah, that will work with a 6400 ... the thing to keep in mind is that most
backup software thinks of that as a "library" or "changer". Most normal
backup software will have add-ons to give you access to the advanced
features of that device. I like the VS80 personally, and have set several of
them up. Mostly I use NetBackup, or BackupExec.

You shouldnt have any problem under linux, but you will probably want to use
a real backup suite with that device.

Can I used the above autoloader w/o problems on a Proliant 6400 w/o any
issues? Just curious since
I've got someone locally selling one for $200 that was just taken out of
service and I believe it's
in working order (but am checking that fact).. Also, if you know, are
these things reliable?

Also, if anyone knows -- can these be used under Linux with regular old
software?

Thanks!
