Default SAS RAID Controller with PCI Interface?

Does any vendor make a SAS RAID controller that will work on a standard PCI

I'm trying to retrofit SAS to an older architecture system.

PCI-X cards typically work in PCI slots. The only possible obstacle is
that 64 bit PCI-X has longer connectors. Most mainboards respect the
PCI-X keep-out area and you can use the cards. If your mainboard is
really old, there mey be a bus voltage problem, that you can also get
with PCI cards. Find out what PCI standards are supported by
your mainboard and then look for a controller that conforms
to one of the revieions mentioned. As for 64 bit PCI-X, get a
connectir drawing and see whether there are any components in the
way of the extra connector.
