Anyway, I ordered this for an old XP-2100 of mine that has been a heat
problem since I bought it. This is the hottest chip I've ever had and

its
stock cooler was crap. It has had three or four coolers since I owned it
(the most recent was the stock copper cored sink from an XP-2600). It

had a
volcano 9 a couple of months ago, but even that sink wasn't good enough

as I
was seeing full load temps gettng into the high 50sC range, and adding
voltage brought the temps into the low 60s C under load. Well, this 17

USD
cooler got it down to reasonable low 40s C under load and OCd nearly 180

mhz
and with extra voltage too. I was quite pleased and actually rather
surprized.

60C ain't ****, why even bother?

Are your reading skills as limited as your vocabulary? The 60c was the
loaded temp with his old cooler. He shaved 20 degrees off that with the new
one and got another 180 mhz OC. That's why he bothered.
