You CANNOT change the drive letter on your boot or system partition in XP.

Windows XP does allow drive letter changes through "Disk Management"
(Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage", select "Disk Management" under
"Storage") The option is available even on the system partition. I do not
know, however, what effect this will have on your computer's ability to boot
afterward.
