I had a DOA LG drive a couple of years back. When the hardware
is that cheap, quality control suffers.
I got a replacement under warranty.
My latest is an ASUS. Very noise and crazy slow reads.
When it wears out I'll probably go back to LG. If they still
manufacture them.
