The Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe board has a special slot for a WiFi card. What

Thank you for your time and help;

According to the manual, the Wifi slot and PCI slot 5 cannot be
used at the same time. The implication is, the Wifi is just a
PCI interface with a different connector. Do some Googling and
compare hardware performance of the Asus product, and ease of
use for the software interface, to decide which product to buy.
You may find an ordinary product that plugs into the PCI slot
is the right answer.

At least some of the Asus cards use an ralinktech chipset.
Just mentioning that if you want to visit the chipset website.
Asus owns a part interest in this company, which is why
you'll see their chipsets being used.
