Hi all,

I just bought a new 40 gb Maxtor 3000LS external (USB) Hard Drive.

It seems to work alright as long as I keep on working. At some point,
however, and it seems like it's always after the machine has been
sitting for a while and gone into screen saver or "hibernate" mode, I'll
try to access it and will get the old "blue screen" that says it's not
available.

It appears that it's gone to sleep and hasn't set it's alarm.

The only way I've found to get it back is to do a complete (power down)
restart.

Any ideas ? ? ?


Windows 98, Compaq Presario 1200 laptop, with one USB 1.1 port.

I have a Belkin 4 port USB hub conected to the Presario, with the HD in
one of the ports.
