Looking for cpu fan for 478

Newegg or E-Bay.

The Intel stock fans and heatsinks (with brass core) are actually pretty
good. But if you want to spend more, the Zalman coolers are usually
considered among the best.

where did my memory go?

Resource may, but does not automatically, = memory.

I don't know if it's an application that would particularly benefit from
a "lot" of memory or not. It may well be.

Something in your system is likely limiting you to 32-bit operation
(most likely either the CPU or the OS). This is 4GB. But the hardware
REQUIRES some memory space, which means that all of the...

Your original premise was wrong. It is perfectly correct for a
*Microsoft* 32 bit OS, when confronted with 4GB of physical memory,
to report only 3.4GB is free. This is an address space...

You are too unknowledgeable to be building computers.

First, there was nothing wrong to begin with. NO computer with 4 Gigs
of memory will recognize all 4 gigs; the video card and motherboard will...

Laserjet 4MP takes 5 minutes to print a page???

Forget about theory, in actual practice, many parallel ports can only
transfer as few as about 5,000 bytes per second. That is 3 MINUTES per
megabyte, roughly. At 600 dpi, you should be sending...

Need a new home printer

Some of the HP (and other) printers will be permanently damaged if air
gets into the print system. On these printers, if you are refilling
cartridges (which, in these cases, are just ink tanks),...

They Hate Every Board

when you buy any of 4 processors (they are offering one Athlon and 3
Phenom) that fit this board. The processors are $99.95...

I think your assumption is dead wrong. AT LEAST half the people who buy...

They Hate Every Board

Not for an AMD processor. But for an Intel processor, I have used a
number of ECS G31T-M boards (discontinued), and they are very good (use
them with a "Pentium Dual Core" CPU; I like the E6300...

Want to buy AIO

I think that ruling out HP is a mistake. But, that said, very few if
any HP models directly print CD/DVD and duplex in a single pass.

On scanning negatives, that is not something that any AIO will...

GA-965P S3 rev. 3.3 and problem's with SATA

chipset and the JMicron controller chip. The SATA sockets are color
coded based on which chip they go to (but I do not recall...

This is just too funny to pass up "Newegg Selling Fake IntelCPU's"

This is not what I call a counterfeit CPU; a "counterfeit" cpu is at
least a real CPU (typically, a lower speed version that has been
"remarked" to be labeled as a faster CPU than it really is);...

ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe and Windows 7 problem, help!

For most people, the 32-bit version is probably the better choice.
There are still a lot of compatibility issues with the 64-bit version as
regards both software compatibility and hardware...

Mew ATI and tv-out?

We were talking about CONVERTING the digital signal into {something};
both analog and digital can be either HD or SD.

is...

resolution of the output of the...

The Intel heatsinks and fans are actually pretty good, if you are not
overclocking.

Which board is better?

The "UD" boards (ultra durable) have heavier copper (the traces are
thicker). Cracked traces are a source of motherboard failure. Thicker
traces are less likely to crack. Also, UD motherboards...

What's the minimum required for a mbo to post?

Some memory is normally required. Without memory (RAM) the CPU cannot
establish a stack and cannot execute subroutine calls (or, more
correctly, the returns from those calls). This will usually...

A video card is not required to "make it beep"; indeed, the lack of a
video card will actually cause a beep code error. As a practical
matter, however, a video card is normally considered to be...

Swapping MBs on XP--reinstall ?

There is no single answer to this question (can you move an installed
copy of Windows from one motherboard to another). It depends on way too
many variables, and the fact that it's Intel to Intel...
