P6T Deluxe V2 Constant reboot issue

Unplug your hard drive and try booting to the BIOS.

Tried this and also all CD/DVD and removed cards with exception of
video while initially trouble shooting

If it comes up and is stable you...

P6T Deluxe V2 Constant reboot issue

Building a new machine with a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 MB

Got machine together and booted into windows XP CD with no issues,
Full formatted and did the XP install. At that point I stopped shut
it down...

Is only one hard drive present during the OS installation ?
I disconnect the other drives, when installing Windows.

Set the boot order in the BIOS, to something like

floppy, CDROM,...

Just for grins I tried the same method again and this time it rebooted
and saw the SATA drive and I am at the Regional and Language...

Go into the bios and make sure its set for IDE emulation mode, not AHCI mode.


The only place I see AHCI is in JMicron RAID controller settings and
it is in IDE there

Did you load the SATA drivers from floppy disk during the install of XP?
I'm confused how you got Windows to install at all. Maybe your BIOS had
some kind of workaround which worked momentarily? ...
