What does sawing a piece off have to do with making the desk bigger?

Hi

Buy a longer Printer Cable and put your printer somewhere else. A USB cable
can be up to 15ft long.

Hello

I have recently bought a new computer desk. Sadly, my existing printer
(Epson 980), is too big, being 46cm wide.

So, I can either saw a bit of the desk off (and knowing me, some
fingers), or...
