Hi Paul,

Thanks for your very helpful reply!

The fried PC has 3 hard drives, 2 of which are encrypted with
Bitlocker. I pulled out the main drive (unencrypted) and tested it
with a IDE/SATA - USB...

As some of you may know there was a lightning storm in England
