OOPS it wasn't the tower. It was the APC UPS beeping for 1 minute to say
that its battery is dying. I thought it stopped because I had done a Shut
Down. Imaging my surprise when it started again 5...

I have a P4 700XL system running XP. Shortly after disconnecting my USB
connector from my camera to the front USB port, I got continuous loud
beeping from the tower.

I did Start, Turn Off...
