Thanks, Chris. Yes, I'm aware of that, and cleaned the fan when I
replaced the dead keyboard last month. I even "elevated" the laptop by
putting four small wood pieces under the four feet. Maybe...

Laptop slow when CPU temperature approaches 75
I use Christian Diefer's excellent I8kfan to monitor CPU temperature
on my Inspiron 1150 laptop with Celeron CPU 2.4GHz. I notice that
whenever the temperature approaches about 75 C, everything runs...

Where to find power spec for Standby mode?
I have a PowerEdge SC440. The tech spec page on Dell web site says it
uses 305 W. But I want to know how much power it uses when it's put to
Standby. Where can I find this info? Thanks.

Is it an overheat or power supply problem?
At first, my 3 year old Inspiron 1150 started to have blue screens
with kernel_data_inpage. After a lot of trial and error and some
diagnostics, I replaced the hard drive. No more blue screens! Now...
