Um, sorry, don't remember the model number, but it was a new Dell home
desktop, Xmas 2005.

2100 new motherboard possibilities?
Well... a while back I discovered the hard way that the 2100 doesn't
support the big WD drive that had run nicely for a year without a
driver that was on the drive that it couldn't access one day...
