Geforce 6800+Linux mandriva 2006.. Running slow.....

Still running Mandriva 2006, with a GeForce6800 card and
flatscreen with resolution 1024+1280. I can't seem to have
the new nvidia drivers running correctly, they screw up my
resolution...
